Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 20, 2026
Welcome to favoritepokemonpicker.org, created by Favorite Pokemon Picker. Your privacy is critically important to us. We built this tool for the Pokemon community to enjoy, and we believe in being completely transparent about how your data is handled.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to protect your privacy when you use our website.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
We believe in keeping things simple and secure. To use favoritepokemonpicker.org:
- No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide a password.
- No Personal Identity Data: We do not ask for or collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
2. How We Save Your Progress (Local Storage)
One of our core features is Cache Persistence, which allows you to leave the site and come back without losing your selected Pokemon grid.
How it works: We use your web browser’s Local Storage (a standard web technology similar to cookies) to save your current grid selections.
Where it lives: This data is stored entirely locally on your own device (computer or smartphone). It is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. If you clear your browser's cache or local storage, your saved progress will be reset.
3. Generated Images and Downloads
When you click the download button to export your Pokemon roster as a high-resolution .png file, the image is generated client-side directly within your browser. We do not upload, process, or store your generated grid images on our servers.
4. Third-Party Services and Analytics
To keep improving the site and ensure it runs smoothly, we may use standard third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics).
These tools may collect non-personally identifiable information, such as your browser type, device type, screen resolution, broad geographic location (country or city level), and how you interact with our website (like which generations you filter).
This data is aggregated and used purely to optimize our website's performance—for instance, ensuring our "Butter-Smooth Scrolling" works perfectly across all devices.
5. Advertisements
We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies or similar technologies to collect non-personal information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our website is a general audience site built for Pokemon fans of all ages. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, as we do not collect personal identity information from anyone. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our tool or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
